Beijing time October 23, according to CNN reports, NBA legendary superstar Michael Jordan opened the second clinic in Charlotte, which was officially put into operation earlier this week.
In 2017, Jordan donated 7 million US dollars to establish two clinics in Charlotte's scarce medical resources. The first clinic was put into operation last year. It is worth mentioning that these two clinics still provide medical services for residents without medical insurance.
"I am very pleased to see the progress we have made last year. I want to continue to do more for everyone." Jordan said in an interview.
During the new crown epidemic, Jordan's clinic also provided local residents with timely virus detection and treatment services. Earlier this year, Jordan's clinic was temporarily changed to a new coronavirus isolation and testing center, and more than 13,000 people were tested for the virus.
Jordan said: “When the clinic first started operating last fall, no one would have expected that we would encounter a global pandemic in just five months. I contribute to our clinic’s contribution to the community, especially I am proud of the help provided during the epidemic."
